The Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PMOP) Clinical Pharmacy Specialist assists primary care providers in co-managing high risk patients for chronic, non-malignant pain and serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist on the Pain PACT Team. They are responsible for direct and indirect patient care, drug therapy monitoring, formulary management, staff education, some prescription inputting, patient counseling, cost containment and acts as Pharmacy's liaison.
