You Will Be Responsible For: - In collaboration with the Sr. Director, serve as the lead for special research operations connected to the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, NCI Strategy, and value-based population and outcomes research.
- Support development of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute's efforts in prevention, control and population science research as part of its pursuit of National Cancer Institute strategies.
- Support interactions with IT oriented Institute Development, including data registries, value-based care initiatives, oncology care models, epidemiology, post-market requirements and commitments, post-authorization safety and efficacy, effectiveness studies and risk evaluation and mitigation, drug utilization and comparison, ethnicity sensitivity analyses and other studies using internal and external automated healthcare databases or registries.
- In concert with the Senior Director, work closely with leaders in the AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI), AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI), AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), AdventHealth Data Governance Council, AdventHealth Information Technology (AIT), Surgical Health Outcomes Consortium (SHOC), Center for Collaborative Research (CCR), and others. Support cross-function team and collaborative research projects.
- Interact with physicians, researchers, clinical staff, billing staff, information technology staff, contract staff. Interact with stakeholders to establish access to data sources, queries, and framework for the conduct of research with a wide variety of non-interventional studies.
- Support partnerships, licensing, negotiations, budgeting necessary for connecting with cancer value-based, population health and epidemiological research.
- Support existing cancer-related research registries and data sources. Develop concepts to deploy databases for practice research studies. Support approaches and processes that provide increasingly more precise and meaningful real-world evidence (RWE) leading to more efficient management of cancer outcomes, clinical development, regulatory filings, commercialization, and research.
Qualifications What You Will Need: - Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, finance, engineering, computer science, or research-related fields
- Three years of experience in related content field such as: health outcomes, value-based care, epidemiology, population health, data mining, or related health-associated role
- Two years in a managerial/supervisory role, coaching up others, or ability to learn requirements for manager
Preferred : - Five years in administration and/or supervisory role, and/or coaching up others for performance
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant degree
- Five years of experience in a health delivery system, managed care organization, biopharmaceutical organization, surgical organization, or related program
- Experience with patient navigation and care coordination
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records and electronic medical charge billing and coding, and/or associated processes
- Experience with scenario modeling, expected value, monte carlo analysis, etc.
- Experience in big data of health outcomes (e.g. medical records, laboratory data) and health costs (insurance claims, billing data) in the oncology field highly desirable
- Experience with drawing correlations between health outcomes and health costs, including building relational databases and drawing out pricing information, risk adjustments, and/or statistical probability
- Highly desired is excellent knowledge of quantitative fields (e.g. statistics, computer-science, biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology)
- Experience navigating processes associated with information technology and contracting approval functions

Job Summary: The Program Manager - Research Operations NCI Strategy Institute Development: Value Based Care Population and Outcomes Research is responsible for managing the development of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute capabilities and functions associated with prevention, control and population science research. Supports thematic areas of epidemiology, primary prevention, early detection, health services, dissemination, palliation and survivorship. Supports linkages to other disease-oriented institutes, other thematic areas, other geographic areas of AdventHealth, and AdventHealth partnerships. Supports research and development for value-based approaches introducing new coordination and navigation methods leading to higher quality care at lower costs. In concert with the Senior Director: Support development of the AdventHealth Cancer Institute connected to value-based care and population requirements of the National Cancer Institute. Promote the development of a portfolio of peer-reviewed cancer related researcher and research-related grants in the areas of value-based care, population science, and outcomes research. Focus efforts to clearly distinguish AdventHealth as a consortium center, going beyond basic clinical networks and affiliations with community hospitals, toward multiple, peer-review funded portfolio of cancer-relevant research equivalent to NIH grants. Support interactions with institute development connected to value-based care population health and outcomes, including IT, genomics, care navigation and project management. Support activities leading to translation of innovative research leading to new care models for the AdventHealth Cancer Institute. Collaborate with department functional groups in the AdventHealth Research Institute, including the Center for Collaborative Research, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), and the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) to problem solve and ensure that research studies are robust.
