We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to render professional nursing care to individuals within the treatment programs. S/he practices ongoing assessment, evaluation and update of individual care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed as well as documenting findings accurately. S/he administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy.
Key Responsibilities include:
Completes medical screening and/or assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.
Monitors medication process for individuals living in residential facilities including supervision of medication distribution, supervising self-administration process.
Prepares Medication Administration Record (MAR).
Provides on-going consumer education (group and individual) regarding medications.
Implements and monitor procedures for random urine drug screens to ensure that each individual is screened as appropriate.
Ensures that test results are documented in medical file and with patient's clinician.
Participates in weekly staff and clinical meetings.
Cross-trains and supports other divisions as needed or requested by supervisor.
