Provides oversight of the regional infection prevention program. This position acts as the Infection Control Officer for the region and manages the design, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the program, which includes prevention, surveillance, policy development, education, strategic planning, process improvement, regulatory compliance, and reporting. Responsible for coordinating and allocating Infection Prevention resources throughout the region and provides technical consultation and leadership as needed for Infection Prevention-related issues. Collaborates with other Regional and System Infection Prevention Managers/Directors on overall program strategy, and system policy development to ensure consistency and standardization across the Allina Health hospitals.

Bachelor’s degree required: plus >5 yrs IP experience
Master’s degree preferred: plus > 3 yrs IP experience
Current MN RN license or certification/registration if required in relevant field.
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control within 6 months of hire.
2 years of leading groups’ system-wide projects and/or interdisciplinary PI workgroups with positive outcomes.
Intermediate plus: advancement of IPC profession through personal education/course work or professional organization involvement at local, state, or national level.
Provides mentorship for associate and intermediate level IP
