Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor level faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration with expertise and experience in Social and Administrative Sciences. We seek an outstanding individual who is committed to academic excellence, will participate in an innovative educational curriculum, perform research and scholarly activities based on their area of expertise, with the opportunity to establish research-related experiential rotation experiences, serve on College/University/Professional committees, and contribute to the University’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a course on Pharmacoeconomics and/or Research Methods, and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty in the College.
Applicants will possess a PhD degree in pharmacoeconomics, health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, health policy or a health services research-related field, or advanced training in a social, administrative or health outcomes discipline (e.g., post-PharmD fellowship or MS/MPH degree in Pharmacoeconomics/Health Outcomes/Health Policy). A professional degree in Pharmacy is desirable. Having some didactic and experiential teaching is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and teaching skills.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration in the College of Pharmacy is made up of 28 full-time faculty members. The College of Pharmacy prides itself on its innovative curriculum that fosters student-centered learning, critical thinking and problem solving. Founded in 1996, the College offers PharmD and MS degrees and post-doctoral residencies and fellowships.
